Pre-care Instructions

Failure to comply with pre-appointment instructions will result in the appointment being rescheduled and the deposit being forfeited.

​

  • No alcohol 48 hours before the procedure-this can cause you to excessively bleed.

​​

  • No caffeine(coffee, tea, soda, etc.) 24-48 hours before the procedure-same reasoning as above.

​​

  •  If you have received or plan on receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, you must schedule your appointment with us at least 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after either dose of your vaccination.

 

  • Avoid sunburn and tanning 1 week prior.

 

  • Do not take any NSAIDs (advil, ibuprofen), niacin, fish oil, vitamin e, prenatal vitamins, hair skin & nail supplements, or nutritional shakes 48 hours before your appointment.

 

  • Discontinue retinol products 4 weeks prior and AHA products for at least 2 weeks.

 

  • Botox and filler should be avoided within 2 weeks of your appointment, but can be done directly after.

 

  • Avoid waxing, tinting, and threading of the area for 1 week before.

​​

  • Avoid chemical peels, facials, and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks prior and 4 weeks after.

 

  • Do not work out or sweat excessively 24 hours before the procedure.

 

  • We cannot work over any moles, blisters, peeling, or pimples. Please try to keep your face clear of any blemishes in the area of the procedure.

 

Additional Lip Blushing Pre-Appointment Instructions:

  • Clients with ANY history of cold sores or fever blisters are REQUIRED to take a prescribed anti-viral medication for at least 1 WEEK PRIOR to and 1 WEEK AFTER appointment. Contact your doctor for this.

Starting 24 hours after your appointment:

​

  • Apply a rice size amount of cleanser 2x per day with applicators or clean fingers.(no q-tips!)

 

  • Rinse off well.

 

  • Pat completely dry(do not rub) It is important not to trap any moisture.

 

  • Apply a thin layer of provided ointment 2x per day. Do not oversaturate, this can suffocate and delay the healing process.

​

*Repeat these steps for 7-10 days(or until all flaking is done) Then proceed to your normal routine*

​

Use only these products for 10 days. Save your cleanser and ointment for your touchup. You will not be provided any extra. If this is your touchup, you’re encouraged to save the remainder for any future touchups, otherwise we will have some to purchase OR you can use a gentle cleanser and coconut oil.

​

Do not pick scabs, this will pull pigment out.

​

Do not soak in shower (always pat dry when getting out)

​

Avoid sweating, heavy exercising, and swimming, and steam for 10 days.

 

No makeup or any other product over the area for 10 days.

After 4 hours, start applying ointment (Aquaphor or CeraVe Healing Ointment) as needed to keep lips constantly moist 

​

  • Apply ointment on lips several times a day. Keep lips moist at all times.

 

  • Avoid oily, spicy and heavily seasoned food

 

  • Drink with a straw.

 

  • After every meal gently rinse and clean lips with water and pat dry, then re-apply ointment.

​

  • No kissing, rubbing or friction on treatment area until completely healed.

​

Use only these products for 10 days.

​

Do not pick or rub your lips and let the peeling happen naturally. If you force any peeling it will pull the color out and heal patchy.

​

Do not soak in shower (always pat dry when getting out)

​

Avoid exposure to UV, sweating, heavy exercising, swimming, and any kind of steam for 10 days.

 

No makeup or any other product over the area for 10 days.
